Player starts at first cone facing forward. On "go" or "whistle", player back pedals towards cone 2. At cone 2 he then sprints forward to cone 3. Repeat process through cones 4 and 5.
Player starts at first cone facing forward. On "go" or "whistle", player will back pedal to cone 2. At cone 2, player will open up hips to left and turn to run to cone 3. At cone 3, player will push off outside foot to break back and sprint through cone 4. Drill can be flipped and done opposite to work on opening to the right side.
Player starts out at first cone facing forward. On "go" or "whistle", player will open up hips to the left to run to cone 2. At cone 2, player will flip hips back to the right to sprint to cone 3. At cone 3, player will sprint out looking for the ball. Coach can throw a ball as player begins sprint.
Player will start at first cone facing forward. On "go" or "whistle", player will back pedal slowly to cone 2. At cone 2, player will back pedal quickly to cone 3. Remember to stay low with knees bent and pumping arms as we back pedal.
