Player should start at first cone or a yard line in 3 point stance. On "go" or the "whistle", player should duck walk for 5 yards. Keep knees bent to stay low, back straight, take short steps (roughly 6 inches), and keep hands up. One foot should be in the ground at all times. Short quick steps not long steps that get our body in a line.
Player will start at the first cone. On "go" or the "whistle", the player will duck walk to cone 2 (see drill 1). At cone 2, player will shuffle to cone 3. Remember to not click your heals together, stay low, and keep hands up. Pick up one foot and put it down, before you pick up the next foot and put it down. One foot should always be in the ground. At cone 3, player will kick step backwards. Step back with left foot then drag right foot back.
Two players will face each other 5 yards apart. Any ball will work but if you have a weighted ball it would be best. One player starts with the ball and passes to the other player as they shuffle (see drill 2) 10 yards laterally and then 10 yards back. Players should be passing the ball back and forth for the duration of the drill.
A player or a coach with a pad stands in front of a player facing them. They should be within no more than an arms distance of each other and drill player should be in 2 point stance with hands up. On "hit" or the "whistle" the drill player will punch hands into the pad or the chest of the opposing player then return to 2 point ready stance.
